The Sound is Intoxicating

At first, I thought the resonator delete was a quiet alternative. Then things changed. Apparently mufflers break in. It’s loud. It’s SlowRunner with Flowmaster and holes in exhaust loud. The turbo screams, the exhaust pops, and a deep tone is released. It’s wonderful. The one bonus to buying an Abarth is no longer relevant. I giggled all through my boring commute through downtown with my windows down, with the sound bouncing off the walls. It’s now the perfect daily driver.

Kinja'd!!!

And I’m still averaging 29 mpg while driving in the city like an ass.

I was amazed when we rented a Boostang and I allegedly hooned the shit out of it for about 100 miles. And we were averaging >25 the whole time.

People who get below EPA must lug the shit out of them.

I think FiST is the best answer to “what is the perfect daily?”

It’s perfect for me, but I wouldn’t say it’s perfect for everybody. It’s incredibly stiff, and while it doesn’t bother me, it probably would bother most people. It’s definitely the best under the radar car, as you can do whatever you want, and your still just some guy in Fiesta.

Video or it didn’t happen?

That said, I watched the video of Matt Farah’s FiST getting an exhaust and it sounds awesome!

It’s even louder in person, and deeper at low rpms. Also, it doesn’t make much turbo noise not under load, but here:

I maintain that sub 2.0L turbos should have minimal muffling in the exhaust. They sound so good without it.

Nice! That sounds great! Just the right amount of snap, crackle and pop!

The clutch in the one that I test drove was way to light for my liking.

I don’t really see how that is a problem in a daily driver. “Oh how I wish this required a little extra work!” - No One Ever.

I know, I’m one of the few people who just doesn’t like the FiST. I want to really badly. But it didn’t do anything for me when I drove it.

I enjoyed my SVT Focus more.
